SAFA is an association under Indian law, created in 2006 on the initiative of Rubina Mazhar.

SAFA is convinced that the socio-economic development of women begins with the education of girls and the creation of income (source of autonomy). The association has therefore chosen to help illiterate urban women gain access to sustainable livelihoods and to accompany them in the education of their children.

SAFA has received both national (Sadguru Gnanananda Award for Social Entrepreneurship and Fraternity _2010) and international recognition.
