House4Peace

Sport - Education - Mentoring

2025 till Today

Context

Play4Peac operates mainly in Brussels, a region where young people face exacerbated educational, economic and social inequalities. This is evidenced by the following indicators: 40% of young people in Brussels live below the poverty line, suicide is the leading cause of death, 14.4% leave school without a diploma, etc.
This reality is exacerbated by social and cultural barriers that limit their opportunities.

Beneficiaries

Approximately 1,000 young people per year, aged 16 to 26 and from disadvantaged backgrounds

Objective

To promote social inclusion and offer disadvantaged young people the means to develop their full personal and professional potential, while building a more inclusive and equitable society.

Results

The partnership began in January 2024.

The expected results are as follows:
– providing a supportive environment for students;
– networking and mentoring to facilitate young people’s access to professionals and break down barriers to inclusion;
– encouraging the development of transferable skills for personal and professional life through various sporting and educational activities.
