Jabolo – Diabolo

Improvement of schooling conditions in a small bush village

2008 till 2010
Diabolo, Mali

Rural schools in Mali face enormous difficulties in carrying out their educational mission. This includes the difficult working conditions, the teachers lack of motivation, the absence of school supplies and pedagogical tools, the precarious and insufficient number of classrooms, …

The children and, more globally, the whole community living in Diabolo.

The commitment of the JFP Foundation was to participate in the improvement of schooling conditions for primary school children in a small Malian bush village: Diabolo.
This was achieved through the construction of school infrastructures (classrooms and latrines made of sustainable materials) and funding for new equipment (benches, tables, blackboards, etc.).

The Foundation’s help allowed for the construction of three additional classrooms (made of baked bricks, with a concrete foundation, doors and windows) and the supply of furniture necessary to make them operational. Three latrine blocks were also built, as well as a water tower.
