Improving the social condition of disabled girls

2007 till 2007
Antsiranana, Madagascar

The condition of disabled children is particularly problematic in the north of Madagascar.
They are often left on their own, or even abandoned.

The Foyer Sainte Famille welcomes disabled children and young girls from poor, abandoned or neglected families.

This project supports the Foyer de l’Espérance.
Its objective is to enable the social and professional integration of disabled girls. To this end, the home offers literacy and basic education programmes, technical and vocational training, accommodation and health care. The home welcomes an average of 60 girls per year.

The support of the JFP Foundation has allow the creation and the equipment of the Saint Famille Center for education, human and professional training. The Center is operational since 2008.
